Four beloved 80s chocolate bars return to UK shelves at M&S

M&S has brought back four discontinued chocolate bars from the 1980s, delighting fans of the nostalgic treats.Sparks, Jet, Now! and Coconut Grove were launched on Wednesday, each costing just £1.The retro snacks were originally part of M&S’s 1980s confectionery lineup, and are each made up of Fairtrade milk chocolate with its own unique filling.The treats are a twist on the classic Mars, Snickers, Twix and Bounty bars.The Sparks and Jet bars from M&SM&SThe Sparks bar is filled with nougat and caramel, the Jet with nougat, peanut and caramel, the Now! is filled with biscuit and caramel, and the Coconut Grove contains a soft coconut filling.Each of the chocolates has packaging with bold retro colours and in their original St Michael packaging design.The re-launch of the discontinued chocolate follows the successful return of another retro treat last year, with the Take 4, a chocolate wafer similar to a Kit Kat, proving a huge success last winter.The Now! and Coconut Grove bars from M&SM&SAn M&S Food spokesperson said: “After the brilliant response to the return of Take 4 last year, we wanted to dig a little deeper into our archives and revisit more of the chocolate bars customers loved the first time around.“With their original St Michael packaging designs and flavours inspired by the much-loved bars of the 80s, Jet, Sparks, Now! and Coconut Grove are a delicious nod to the past – giving some customers the chance to rediscover an old favourite and others the joy of trying them for the very first time.”
