Foster claims MVP Award as Irwin crowned St James FA U-17 Champs

(Photo: Paul A Reid) Nathaniel Foster scored a hat-trick to lead Irwin United to a 5-0 win over Bogue United in the final of the St James Football Association Under-17 final played at Wespow Park last Thursday. Foster, who was the Most Valuable Player for the tournament, was also the top scorer with 10 goals and helped to avenge Irwin United’s 6-2 loss to Bogue United in the first round. Irwin United topped the points table with nine points from three wins in their four games, while Bogue was second with seven points, edging Real MoBay FC on goal difference. Montego Bay United were awarded third place after Real MoBay forfeited their play-off. Foster scored in the 19th, 28th, and 78th minutes after Jahmari Tinglin gave them the lead in the eighth minute before Dellante Hawthorne scored the fifth goal in the 57th minute.
