Playground Games has now confirmed that the PS5 edition of the latest installment in its Xbox racing game will be here on January 26, 2027, and it has opened pre-orders to mark the occasion. Playground Games There are three editions of Forza Horizon 6 to choose from on PS5, as was the case on Xbox - standard, deluxe, and premium. Each edition is the same price on PS5 as it is on Xbox too. Wise, as making it even slightly cheaper or more expensive would cause uproar. The standard edition costs $69.99, $99.99 for the deluxe edition, and the premium edition is priced at $119.99. Every edition of the game will include the same pre-order bonus provided you secure your copy before release day. That pre-order bonus is a pre-tuned Ferrari J50 that will be waiting in your virtual garage for you when you fire up the game for the first time. While the pre-order bonus is the same regardless of which edition you buy, what’s included with each one is naturally pretty different. The premium edition is the one that’s going to get you the most, with its biggest selling point being five days of early access. Pay the full $120 for Forza Horizon 6 on PS5, and you’ll get to start playing on January 21, 2027, instead of having to wait for its official release day five days later. That’s the same day the game will be getting a free content update that will go live across all platforms at the same time. Differences Between Editions Playground Games The premium edition is also the only one that comes with VIP membership, the Time Attack and Italian Passion car packs, and the two upcoming expansions, one of which will be rolled out on PS5 early access release day, and the second at a later to-be-announced date. If you pre-order one of the cheaper editions but decide you want the premium stuff at a later date, you can buy the premium upgrade. If you don’t want to spend $120 on Forza Horizon 6, and you can wait until January 26 to play it on PS5, the $99.99 deluxe edition gets you the full base game along with the Welcome Pack and the Car Pass. Those are both included with the premium edition too. The standard edition is just the base game along with the same pre-order bonus that comes with the deluxe and premium editions. The standard edition will also be getting a physical release. Forza Horizon 6 will speed onto PS5 on January 26, or January 21, 2027, if you have pre-ordered the premium edition. If Forza Horizon 5’s sales numbers are anything to go by, it’s going to be a very big deal when it finally arrives on Xbox’s rival platform. If it can match its predecessor's numbers, then it will be one of the only Xbox-published games that’s almost certainly safe from returning to exclusivity like Gears of War.
