Before Sonic and other highly anticipated video game characters take over the Battle Royale, players need to complete all of their unfinished business this season — this means completing the Fortnite Runners Sprite collection. Even though there are only 25 base Sprites to find, there are several rare variants that make it much harder for players to complete their collection. The best way to do this is to check specific Sprite Hour events and play Fortnite during that time in order to extract any missing Sprites. Image: Epic Games To help players with their FOMO, Fortnite is hosting a major Sprite Spree Week with several Sprite Hour events to give players one last chance to get all the Sprites that they haven't discovered yet. Next season, Sprites that have been extracted in Season 3 will remain in players' collections and be added to the Sprite Garden alongside any upcoming Sprites. However, there is no guarantee that they will be found on the Battle Royale island at a later date — many of them will be vaulted with the launch of Chapter 7 Season 4. Therefore, players should take advantage of the Sprite Spree Week event and secure all Sprite variants before they're gone for good. Sprite Spree Week kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 2 p.m. EDT, which is also when the Unstable Event goes live. Each day, a specific Sprite type will be more likely to spawn on the map starting at 9 a.m. EDT. Saturday, Aug. 15: Mythic Sprites Sunday, Aug. 16: Galaxy Sprites Monday, Aug. 17: Holofoil Sprites Tuesday, Aug. 18: Cube Sprites Wednesday, Aug. 19: Gem Sprites There are boosts that will be enabled throughout the event. XP gain will be boosted for equipped Sprites, making it easier to master them. Sprite Spree Quests will go live, giving players the chance to get rare Sprites, such as the John Wick Sprite and the Gem Zero Point Sprite. Players will also receive additional Lucky Locators and be able to resummon Sprites without spending any Sprite Dust.
