Fortnite’s Gaming Legends season has just gone live, but anyone hoping to see Sora and all of the other collabs is going to be disappointed for now. After months of rumours, leaks, and a piece of key art that everyone was convinced was AI, Fortnite’s long-awaited Gaming Legends season, Override, is finally here. Override brings with it a ton of collabs, including Persona, Mega Man, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Sonic the Hedgehog, and even more. Fortnite fans expected most of these collabs to be rolled out a little later down the line, as is standard for every season, but you might be surprised at just how many of them are missing in action right now. Epic has confirmed that pretty much every crossover in the season isn't here for launch and is locked to the Item Shop. Crash, Persona, Pac-Man, And More Are Also Missing For Launch If you’ve jumped into Fortnite’s Override season, you're likely a little disappointed at how many of the confirmed gaming collaborations aren’t actually here just yet. So far, it’s really just Sonic the Hedgehog, who’s included in the battle pass, being represented, with all of the others being saved for the Item Shop. Over on the official Fortnite website, a blog post was shared that confirms most of the crossovers are coming later on in the season. This includes Kingdom Hearts, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Persona 5, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, 99 Nights in the Forest, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, “and more”. The Fortnite blog also confirms that the Kingdom Key and Mega Man’s Mega Buster are all coming later in the season too. Basically all of the collabs with skins aside from Sonic aren’t coming to Override until later in the season, and all of them are tied to the Item Shop instead of the Battle Pass. It’s a bit of a shame, really, since the stacked lineup of crossovers is such a big part of the season and isn’t exactly coming out swinging at the start. Having all of those highly-anticipated series in the Item Shop is one thing, but not even making a few of them available as the season begins is a weird move that dampens a lot of the excitement.
