Former England star Conor Coady coaching at old club days after Wrexham contract ripped up

CONOR COADY is coaching with Liverpool’s Under-21 side after leaving Wrexham. The defender, 33, agreed to rip up his contract with the Championship club on Monday despite having a year left on it. I’m doing a little bit of coaching with the boys, which has been brilliant. “If they need numbers, I’ll jump in and keep myself fit as well. “That’s what it’s looking like at the minute. I’m obviously speaking to my agent about different bits that are going on. “I’m not massively in a rush because I want to make sure it’s right.” Coady made two first team appearances after coming through Liverpool’s academy. He went on to play for Huddersfield, Wolves, Leicester and the Reds’ big rivals Everton. Last summer he joined Wrexham in a deal thought to be worth around £2million. Coady started their first five matches of last season but then failed to make a single further appearance.
