The perpetrator was eventually jailed, but new reports claim that he was released this week and began threatening the midfielder again. Journalist Sebastian Giovanelli claims that Torreira has now asked his agent to get him out of Turkey. The latest threat allegedly saw the perpetrator approach Torreira’s driver and say: “I’m here to finish what I started.” Turkish police are now looking for him once again. Torreira joined Galatasaray from Arsenal in 2022 and has since made 175 appearances. The midfielder has also managed 11 goals and 16 assists during his time in Turkey and won six trophies.
