FORMER Tottenham player Serge Aurier is poised to plunge his career to new depths – by joining a SEVENTH-TIER club in France. The right-back is now in talks with French minnows Montigny-en-Gohelle, who are based eight miles east of Lens. Playing in the second division of the Hauts-de-France regional league, they conceded TEN goals at the weekend to rivals Biache-Saint-Vaast. Aurier’s deal is reportedly being held up due to delays with documents from the Iranian FA. But sources close to the defender told local paper La Voix du Nord they expect him to get the green light to sign imminently. Aurier began his career at Lens, coming through their academy and making his professional debut.
