A FORMER Premier League star has enjoyed a busy summer as the sporting director of Europa League outfit Anderlecht. But that was far from the end of his career in football, which has bloomed since taking over the role as sporting director with the Belgian outfit in May. Sibierski secured transfer deals for seven departing players, totalling incoming fees of more than £55million. Among them was 18-year-old wonderkid Nathan De Cat, who made a £16m switch to Bundesliga side Hoffenheim. Another three stars left following the end of their contracts, and a final trio left on loan deals. Those outgoings freed up funds and squad space for a massive 11 signings. Nine stars arrived on permanent deals, including Rangers star Oliver Antman and Ivory Coast youngster Romeo Amane, who commanded a £4.3m fee from Rapid Vienna. Sibierski’s total incomings amounted to over £22m, with Anderlecht profiting £33m from a window in which they conducted more than £80m of business. The French executive began his post-playing career as an agent alongside his brother.
