A FORGOTTEN noughties reality star has revealed that he’s spent 200 DAYS alone stranded on a remote island. Top hairdresser Adee Phelan is arguably best known for starring on Channel 4’s The Salon between 2003 and 2004. And Adee, who is famous for styling David Beckham’s mohawk ahead of the 2002 World Cip, was a star stylist and helped manage the studio. Sign up for the TV newsletter Thank you! He was joined by the likes of Paul Merritt, Carina Harris and Richard Duncan on the programme. After The Salon ended, Adee continued to have a pretty successful career in the industry, having opened up salons, working with celebs and starring in other TV shows. Back in January he told his 95.5k followers on Instagram that he was going to be moving to a remote island later that month to create a feature length documentary. He explained: “The whole idea behind the concept can man leave central London… the parties, the clubs, the social media? “Four years ago I set off on my first mammoth challenge, which was New York to LA, 3,400 miles in 66 days. But I finished it.” He explained that having lived in May Fair for the last 25 years, he wanted to move to an isolated island with six months worth of food, alongside canvases and paint, to create his first passion – art. Since then, he’s been uploading his shenanigans on social media and yesterday revealed that he had completed his mammoth challenge. I’ve learnt that I can survive without medication. I’ve learnt to be a bit more considerate and sacrafise. “And feed others before I feed myself. “I’ve learnt that the world is full of unexpected, wonderful people that give unconditionally. “Complete strangers have sent me parcels of food and supplies.” He added: “It’s kind of saved my life really. Came in here a completely broken man. “All types of terrible thoughts in my head and I’m leaving a slightly better, more considerate person. “I’ll always have my weaknesses and my faults.” He then wrote on Instagram: “Well that’s it 200 DAYS COMPLETE ALONE WELL I HAD MY WINGMAN KES can’t thank everyone enough who sent food parcels for KES and me. “200 days without medication. 30 years hooked on them. I’m free I don’t advise anyone to do what I did I was very sick for 50 days cold turkey but I had to do it my choice . “As I wrote this I’m back in soho 17 hour drive, million people walking past my door insane. “Everybody who has emailed regarding prints I’m getting them uploaded next week you guys will get first dibs.” Comment now
