It is not known yet whether the deal will be a loan or permanent, but Romano says the clubs are working on the “formula”. Bajcetic played 22 times for Liverpool and scored once. That one goal, at 18 years, two months and four days, came against Aston Villa and made him the third youngest player to score for Liverpool in the Premier League, behind Michael Owen and Raheem Sterling. He is also the second youngest Spanish player to score in Premier League history, behind Cesc Fabregas. He also held the distinction of being Liverpool’s youngest ever player in the Champions League for a while until Rio Ngamoha arrived on the scene. He had two loan spells in the 2024/25 season, first with Red Bull Salzburg in Austria and then Las Palmas in Spain.
