| Soaps Reporter Published August 6, 2026 11:14am Updated August 6, 2026 11:14am Fiz Dobbs remains suspicious of Ross Wilkes (Picture: ITV) This article contains spoilers for tonight’s (Thursday, August 6) Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on YouTube and ITVX. Cassie Plummer’s (Claire Sweeney) fate remains a mystery in Coronation Street, and Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) can’t help but think Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield) may have done something terrible… Viewers will know that Cassie’s life fell apart last week when Ross caught onto her plan to drug his smoothie to get him out of her life for good. When Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) ended up in hospital after drinking it, Cassie was caught out, and son Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) disowned her, while boyfriend Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) dumped her. Needing a fresh start, Cassie accepted a job on a cruise ship, but whether she made it that far is still a mystery, as she was last seen being driven off in Ross’ car. In the days since her exit, Steve has regretted not making up with her, and her lack of contact has left him in a bad mood – and he’s not the only one. Cassie Plummer was last seen being driven off in Ross’ car (Picture: ITV) While Steve is feeling like a lovesick puppy, it seems that Fiz is more concerned for Cassie’s welfare as her phone continues to go straight to voicemail. Ross already raised Fiz’s suspicions earlier this week when she overheard him telling Steve that he hadn’t seen Cassie, only to backtrack and reveal that he’d dropped her at Piccadilly Station when Steve explained that he’d seen them driving off together. Given that Ross had acted surprised by Cassie’s sudden departure the previous day, Fiz’s guard was up. Ross’ story didn’t add up (Picture: ITV) Though she told him that she was willing to let his lies slide on this occasion, she warned that he’d be out on his ear if he stepped one foot out of line. And it doesn’t look like she’s going to go easy on him, as today’s episode saw her question their car journey once more. Alone with Ross at the bar in the Rovers, Fiz asked him to clarify where he’d dropped Cassie off, pushing him for details. He remained cool, suggesting that Cassie’s ‘radio silence’ was in character, but it was clear that Fiz wasn’t convinced.
