SAINSBURY’S has revealed all the festive food set to land in stores this Christmas, including a sandwich that is sure to be a hit with shoppers. Over 330 new products are set to be rolled out across its supermarkets this Christmas, with some arriving on shelves in just a matter of days. Nothing screams Christmas like unwinding in the evening with a festive flavoured tipple. And this holiday season, the retailer is treating customers to a range of seasonal booze, including Taste the Difference Jaffa Cake Rum Liqueur (£15) and Taste the Difference Blackberry & Clementine Gin (£21.50). The biscuit cupboard inspired booze is set to arrive in stores on September 27, giving fans just a few days to wait. Arriving in stores on the same day is Sainsbury’s Clemencello, with rival M&S also set to launch its own version of the drink this week. M&S will charge £13 for the fruit drink, while Sainsbury’s is set to charge £16. With a surprise of Taste the Difference Viennese Whirl, All Butter or Brandy, Port & Brown Butter mini mince pies behind each door, it’s theperfect way to make December feel that little bit sweeter. You can expect to pay £20 when it lands in stores on the first of November. And those who are not yet sick of the pistachio trends will be excited about the launch of a Pistachio Panettone landing in store on October 7 for £12. A tasty Limoncello Tiramisu is also set to land on December 18 for the same price. The supermarket has also given a sneak peak into its famous festive sandwich range. Lunch-goers can expect to tuck into a tasty Festive Ham Hock Sandwich come November 1. This meaty delight features ham hock and mature cheddar cheese,paired with a sweet, spiced fig chutney and sage and onion mayonnaise on soft onion bread. The supermarket described this as “moreish, savoury and subtly sweet, it’s a delicious combination of festive flavours.” You can expect to pay £4.50 when this lands on shelves in a few months’ time.
