First Alert issued for strong storms, flash flooding Friday for Philly region
A First Alert has been issued for strong storms, flash flooding and damaging winds for the Philadelphia region on Friday, Aug. 7. The First Alert will be in effect until 9 p.m. The high humidity is fueling these storms and we will continue to see high rainfall rates and blinding downpours. Feels like temperatures are up to 100 degrees for some neighborhoods. This will continue into the weekend. Relief from our heatwave and high dewpoints will not come until next week.
