Firozabad glass reaches over 100 countries, UP's ODOP scheme drives global expansion

Firozabad's glass industry has expanded beyond traditional glass bangles to export products to over a hundred countries, including Germany, Japan, Europe, and America. Supported by the Uttar Pradesh government's One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, local businesses have received loans, subsidies, training, and technical assistance. Under ODOP training, 1,778 people were trained, while 5,550 beneficiaries received support under Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana. Over the past twelve years, government schemes have assisted more than 11,000 beneficiaries, including 624 under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, 1,996 under Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana, and 627 under PMEGP. Firozabad is now transforming into a global hub for India's glass industry.
