Fired for deleting emails, not taking leave

PHILADELPHIA — A federal court in Pennsylvania granted summary judgment to PNC Bank on a former trust real estate adviser’s claims that the bank fired her for taking medical leave. She was not fired for taking leave, but because she deleted all her work emails two days into her leave because she wanted to keep her manager from transferring her responsibilities to other employees while she was on leave.
