Sign in to your TheGamer account Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has already managed to become one of the highest-rated entries in the series, with well over a hundred hours of content to experience. Despite having only been out for less than a month, however, Nintendo made a surprise announcement that not only would Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave be getting several DLC updates, but that a major story expansion was also in the works. The best part of the announcement, aside from finally getting to see several of the concepts that were originally cut from the final edition of Fortune's Weave, is that the first DLC is already available for you to download right now. A Major Expansion Is Coming To Fortune's Weave Revealed in a trailer posted to the Nintendo of America YouTube channel, the Fortune's Weave Expansion Pass will cost $34.99 (or $104.99 when bundled with the game itself), and be released in 3 separate waves, the first of which is already available today. Adding in four weapons from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the release schedule will be as follows: Wave 1 (Available Now): Four additional prototype weapons modelled after Heroes' Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Wave 2 (Holiday 2026): Additional wearable outfits and 3 new allies with Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah. Wave 3 (2027): New allies, Classes, New stories for the four rival lords Bertrand, Talim,un, Orchel, and Anatolia, and more. Although the new weapons and outfits likely aren't enough to make you go back and replay through Fortune's Weave just to utilize them, they are still some welcome additions when it comes to mixing up the variety of your subsequent runs through each Lord's story. The real star of the show when it comes to the Expansion Pass announcement is easily the third wave arriving in 2027, which suggests we'll be getting four entirely new storylines based around the rival lords that had their stories cut in the final release of Fortune's Weave. Finally Completing Its Unfinished Content Despite the high praise that Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has received so far, it's more than a little obvious that some aspects of the game had to be scrapped before release, with the unfinished storylines of the four lords facing most of the criticism. While it's hard to complain much considering Fortune's Weave takes well over 100 hours to fully complete, the new storylines will be able to help fill in for some of the missing character development. Although it's hard to believe each of the four stories would be comparable in length to the currently available routes, the trailer did tease that it will reveal several completely new details about the narrative for fans to look forward to.
