Photo credit: @ANI/X A fire broke out at a godown behind Dharamshila Hospital near Kheda Dewat Mandir in East Delhi’s Dallupura on Sunday afternoon (September 13, 2026), sending a large cloud of black smoke into the Delhi skies and prompting an extensive firefighting operation.The Delhi Fire Services received a call about the blaze at 3.29 p.m. Four water tenders and a water bowser were initially rushed to the spot.The Dallupura blaze is the second godown fire reported in Delhi on Sunday (September 13, 2026). Earlier in the day, a fire broke out at a godown storing rexine and cotton webbing in northwest Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar. Fifteen fire units were deployed, and the blaze was brought under control by 1.50 p.m. Six people from an adjacent house were injured in the incident.As the firefighting operation continued in Dallupura, additional units were deployed. By 4.02 p.m., the total deployment had increased to eight water tenders, six water bowsers, a multipurpose vehicle and a quick response vehicle.Preliminary information indicated that the Dallupura godown housed plywood and PVC material.
