Pre-orders are now open for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation after Square Enix revealed the final installment in the Remake trilogy’s release date during Thursday’s State of Play. Not only does that include a pricey collector’s edition, but Final Fantasy fans in Japan also have an even more expensive option that gets them the entire trilogy, plus even more exclusive FF7 goodies. Square Enix Dubbed the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Complete Edition, the bundle appears to include everything you get with Revelation’s collector’s edition and a whole lot more. The best part of all might be the price. Not because it’s almost $500 when converted into USD, but because it costs 77,777 yen. I know that’s a lot of money. I’m just easily pleased by novelty things like lots of sevens for games with seven in their titles. So, what exactly does this $500 bundle include? Well, physical copies of all three Final Fantasy 7 Remake games, for starters. Unless you buy the Steam version, in which case they’ll be download codes. There’s also no Xbox option whatsoever, which, while disappointing, kind of makes sense since not many people own Xbox Series consoles in Japan, and this is a Japan-exclusive bundle. The bundle also includes SteelBook cases for all three games, as well as display stands for each game in the trilogy. The stands hold the cases with a place for the discs above them. Even more special now than ever before, as Revelation may well be the last Final Fantasy game to ever be released on a PlayStation disc. Somewhat fitting, albeit incredibly depressing, considering the original version of Final Fantasy 7 was the first game to be released on a disc. A Soundtrack, A Statue, And An MTG Card Square Enix Speaking of discs, the Complete Edition bundle also includes a physical copy of FF7 Revelation’s soundtrack. That’s coupled with a 120-page hardcover artbook. That $500 price tag is starting to make a lot more sense already, and we’re not even close to being done. The item that really drives up the price is the diorama. It's divided into three pieces - one each for Cloud, Zack, and Sephiroth. They can be displayed individually, or brought together for the ultimate display piece. You’ll also get a Polygon Cloud keychain modeled after the iconic protagonist’s original PS1 design. Square Enix We’re still not done. Pre-order the complete edition, and you’ll get the same bonus included with other editions: an exclusive Final Battle Magic: The Gathering card with artwork featuring Cloud and Sephiroth. You’ll also get access to the confirmed Sephiroth and Vincent DLC expansions whenever they become available, and additional Materia and armor that isn’t otherwise available to standard edition owners. It might be a lot of money, but that is a lot of stuff. Not only is it a pretty incredible bundle for any FF7 fan to own, but it’s a fitting tribute to the end of physical media as we know it on PlayStation, capping off 30 years of Final Fantasy games on discs before the switch to codes in boxes in 2028.
