Not only do you have an absolute slog to get through in A Realm Reborn, but you also have five whole expansions to complete to get to the end game. You'll easily spend about 500 hours to get there, and that's without even stepping foot into the vast amount of side content you can try out, like field operations, raids, side quests, and more. With all that content, it makes sense that the game has a pretty chunky file size to go alongside it. Not a problem for most systems, especially on PCs, where even lower-end rigs come equipped with a TB of storage, but for a console as humble as the Nintendo Switch 2, it's a bit of a problem. Final Fantasy 14 Will Take Up Half Of Your Switch 2's Storage First revealed by Final Fantasy 14's new eShop listing (thanks IGN), the game has an estimated size of 117.2GB, meaning not only will one game take up half of your entire Nintendo Switch 2's storage space, but it's also a new record for the biggest game on the system. Funnily enough, it's Square Enix that has beaten its own record too. Before Final Fantasy 14 came long, the previous largest game on the Switch 2 was Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, clocking in at a pretty massive 91.8GB. Therefore, you could theoretically use up pretty much all of your system's storage space with just two Final Fantasy games. Yeah, best pick up a new SD card if you're a Final Fantasy fan. What makes this even worse is that Final Fantasy 14's file size on Switch 2 doesn't even include the game's next expansion, Evercold. You're most likely looking at close to 130GB once that's actually here, making it more than half. With an additional subscription on top of that, it's not exactly the most exciting prospect for Switch 2 fans.
