He was on the frontline, near the barricades. Every night when he came home, he would tell us that it no longer looked like a student protest and that many anti-social elements had joined it," she said.Recounting the incident, she alleged that her father was attacked by a mob on July 25. "The very next day, on the 25th, my father was dragged by a rowdy mob and was almost lynched near the stage at Jantar Mantar. This happened at around 2 pm. He remained unconscious at RML Hospital for about four hours," she alleged.Describing the family's ordeal, she said, "Around 10 pm that night, my father's colleagues brought him home, and his uniform was completely soaked in blood. That night was extremely difficult for our family." According to the family, the injured policeman remained unconscious at home, and he initially tried to reassure them despite his injuries."He told me, 'Beta, minor injuries are part of the job,'" she recalled, adding that the seriousness of his condition became apparent only after he returned home.Questioning the public narrative surrounding the violence, she alleged that attacks on police personnel had not received adequate attention."Social media was saying it was a crime against the protesters, but what I saw was those who attacked the same person are now going to the Supreme Court.
