The student, identified as Jhanvi, was a resident of Dabua.She was taken to a private hospital with critical injuries and later referred to BK Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.Jhanvi’s father, Pramod Kumar, alleged that a dispute had broken out among students over eating biryani in the classroom. He said other students told him that Jhanvi was not involved in the dispute but was still punished. According to the father, she was made to stand outside the classroom in the sun for nearly four hours.The family alleged that the punishment left her distressed. The circumstances leading to her death, however, remain under investigation. School principal RK Sharma denied that Jhanvi had been punished. He said she left the classroom after seeking permission to use the washroom and later went to the third floor.Police from Dabua police station reached the school after being informed about the incident and inspected the site.Investigators are questioning the school management, teachers, students and Jhanvi’s family to establish the sequence of events.
