Fan favourite Corrie star reveals she’s making surprise return to soap and lets slip upcoming plot

A FAN favourite Coronation Street star has revealed she’s returning to the soap – and let slip details of an upcoming plot. The actress in question has played an on-off role in the ITV soap for nearly 10 years. She captioned the post: “PC Jess loading.” In her earliest appearances, Jess served as a mentor to Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) during the latter’s police training. She subsequently returned when Craig was tragically killed off in scenes airing last year. Most read in TV Before she joined the boys in blue, Donnaleigh stepped onto the cobbles as another character. In 2015, she slipped into the uniform of an unnamed nurse at the Rosamund Street Medical Centre as she tended to Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) after he had badly cut his arm. Comment now
