AN ICONIC American doughnut chain is set to launch in the UK for the first time. Fans of fast food from across the pond are in for a treat thanks to the arrival of the dessert brand’s first British branch. And now, the dessert giant has set its sights on the UK and is opening its first store in Scotland this year. The debut UK site will be located on Edinburgh‘s Forrest Road, with the Randy’s Donuts website declaring that it’s “coming soon”. While no opening date has officially been confirmed for Randy’s Donuts’ debut, a planning application has been put forward to Edinburgh City Council. The proposals outline plans for exterior signage, which will feature an illuminated Randy’s Donuts logo. The arrival of the Scottish branch comes after Randy’s Donuts owner and CEO, Mark Kelegian, shared his goals for bring the brand to the UK. Sharing hopes of expansion in 2024, Mark outlined plans for around 50 Randy’s stores in the UK. Most read in Money While Edinburgh will debut Randy’s Donuts, it’s thought there are plans for the doughnut giant to arrive in London in the future. Randy’s serves up a huge array of doughnuts, with classics like the Glazed Raised, Chocolate Raised and Maple Raised on the US menu. There’s also innovative “premium” creations like the Bacon Maple Long John, Bear Claw, Glazed Crondy and Fruity Pebbles Raised Donut. There’s also a wide range of tasty beverages including coffee, iced drinks and fruity refreshers. Caffeine lovers can enjoy the likes of the Butter Crumb Latte, Maple Cream Iced Coffee and Sea Salt Caramel Frappe.
