Family pay tribute to mum, 24, ‘stabbed to death by stranger’ as she slept in bed with newborn baby & husband

NewsUK News THE family of a mum who was reportedly “stabbed to death by a stranger” have paid a touching tribute to her and called for justice to be served. Kirandeep Kaur, 24, was killed while she slept in her bed with her three-month-old baby and husband at her home in Hayes, West London, on July 12. Kirandeep’s family said they need help to repatriate her body to Piddi, in the Tarn Taran district in Punjab. Baljeet Kaur, Kirandeep’s mum, told ITV News: “We send them somewhere safe to study then this happens. “We didn’t realise hooliganism and violence is happening there too. “We want justice, we want our daughter’s body returned from Hayes.” Kirandeep had been living in the UK since 2024 on a student visa and had begun working having finished her studies and was looking to build a life in the UK. Gurvinder Singh, Kirandeep’s brother, told the news outlet that the family were “shocked” at her death adding that they didn’t understand what they could do. Jassi Randhawa, a volunteer at a Hayes Sikh Gudwara, said Kirandeep’s death had come as a “big shock to the community” and said he had seen her just a few weeks ago. He described her as being a “very nice, well-spoken” and “kind-hearted” woman. Police have charged Daniel Sean James, 44, with murder, attempted murder and having a blade on Thursday. A plea hearing has been sent for October 1, with a provisional three-week trial due to take place from April 5 next year.
