A FORMER Fame Academy winner looked unrecognisable as he belted out his own song in a karaoke bar 24 years after his BBC show triumph. The reality TV show fan-favourite, 48, delighted revellers at The Horseshoe Bar in his native Glasgow as he gave a rendition of his first number one hit, Stop Living The Lie. His debut album Seven Years – Ten Weeks reached number five in the UK Albums Chart. Now, he’s got more than a few serious songwriting credits under his sleeve. Writing under the name The Nexus, his partnership with James Bauer-Mein, the pair have penned a variety of songs for the likes of Will Young, Olly Murs, Pixie Lott and Matt Cardle, as well as Lana Del Rey’s hit National Anthem among others.
