Fallout 40th Anniversary Releases Officially Unveiled By Bethesda

There's no doubt that Bethesda have been through some notable ups and downs over the last few years, and the general feeling towards the company from fans isn't in a great place. That could all obviously change with the release of a big hitter like The Elder Scrolls VI, but in the meantime, there's little doubt that they need to claw back some positive momentum. Happily, the company is also celebrating a pretty major anniversary this year, with 40 years since the company was founded back in 1986. That provides the perfect opportunity for a bit of a celebration to mark the occasion and distract from the difficulties, with the company now confirming the first raft of releases that fans can expect. As first reported by CBR, the Bethesda Gear Store has a bunch of new products available to pre-order as part of the 40th anniversary celebrations, which are really set to kick off in July. Fallout is probably the company's biggest franchise right now, so as you might expect, it serves as the central focus for many of the upcoming releases. The most impressive of the bunch is probably the Fallout Nuka Girl Rocketsuit statue, which stands at an impressive 12.8" tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the rocket. In sharing what fans can expect from that, the developer shared the following insight: "Bottle raised high. Rocket at the ready. Nuka-Girl is clear for launch. Here, she proves that the only thing more powerful than atomic propulsion is the crisp, refreshing taste of Nuka-Cola. "The Fallout Nuka-Girl Rocketsuit Statue captures the likeness of its namesake character leaning against a rocket. She’s holding her helmet against her hip, while her right hand raises a bottle of Nuka-Cola. A blanket of billowing smoke covers the surface of the statue’s bottlecap-shaped base." Not only that, but there are also a ton of shirts with Fallout iconography, as well as some more general options that feature the name of the developer and the date of their founding. Unfortunately, that almost certainly won't manifest in an entirely new game, but there should be plenty of events' supplementary releases, and social elements that should hopefully bring the community together, at a time when they are otherwise unlikely to do so.
