Fact Check: This video DOESN'T show Ram Temple CEO Jeetendra Mishra dancing with alcohol

A video of a man dancing with a glass of alcohol has been widely shared online. Allegedly, it shows retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra celebrating after his appointment as chief executive officer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.India Today Fact Check found that this does not feature the retired Air Marshal, and predates Mishra's appointment.OUR PROBEReverse-searching frames from the video led us to the Instagram account of a person called Vikash Rana. The longer version of the video was shared by him on November 3, 2025. We also found Rana’s Facebook account, where he describes himself as a content creator. He posted the viral video on Facebook in November 2025.Notably, the man in the viral video is not Rana himself. Rana regularly posts videos with him on all his social media accounts, including YouTube. We compared the viral video with Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra’s photo and found no similarity. This confirmed that the viral video does not feature Mishra.We also reached out to Vikash Rana to find more details about the man seen dancing in the viral clip. The story will be updated as and when he responds. India Today’s Ayodhya correspondent Mayank Shukla also spoke to Jeetendra Mishra about the viral video.
