FORMER F1 driver David Coulthard has lifted the lid on the time that he offered Jeremy Clarkson the chance to own his pub for FREE. But Coulthard did have one condition for the former Top Gear presenter, that proved to be a stumbling block. Coulthard, who drove for McLaren in the 1990s and 2000s, has spoken about the decision to own a London pub. The 55-year-old says that he offered the south-west London boozer, The Brown Dog, to Clarkson at no cost whatsoever, but with one condition. He said: “I actually offered it to Jeremy Clarkson. I said, ‘Jeremy, I’ll give you the pub. “It’s yours, title deeds, but if and when you make money, you start cutting us in.'” Coulthard went on to reveal that Clarkson declined his offer to take ownership of the pub.
