F-16 fighter jets scrambled over Trump’s golf course to intercept two planes flying close to where president was staying

F-16 FIGHTER jets have been scrambled to intercept aircraft flying near Donald Trump’s golf course while the president was staying there. Following the breach, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) confirmed that it had escorted two aircraft out of the area. An investigation is now ongoing to determine the exact reason behind the incursion. A social media post said: “NORAD F-16s intercepted multiple general aviation aircraft today that violated temporary flight restrictions over Bedminster, NJ. Pilots were reminded to ‘Check NOTAMs (Notices To Airmen) before EVERY flight! The Digital Visual Information Distribution System, which is operated by the Department of War, also shared a pointed reminder with pilots. Most read in The Sun It said: “Should NORAD aircraft intercept a general aviation aircraft, the pilot should immediately come up on frequency 121.5 or 243.0 and turn around to reverse course until receiving additional instructions on one of those frequencies.” This is not the first airspace violation near Trump that has prompted NORAD fighter jets to intervene during his second term. In March, for example, F-16 fighter jets deployed flares at Palm Beach International Airport hours before the President was due to take off. Trump spent Sunday at his Bedminster golf course once again as LIV Golf played its final round. The President was on hand for the LIV Golf New York event towards the end of the breakaway tour’s season.
