Explosions in Syria's Aleppo result in injuries, civil defence says

The Civil Defense in Aleppo indicated that explosions in the southern countryside of Aleppo countryside have left several injured, Syrian state news agency SANA reported. The head of civil defense operations in Aleppo, Faisal Muhammad Ali, said that explosions were still ongoing in the Al-Eis area, hindering the arrival of more ambulance and rescue teams to the site. He also warned civilians against approaching the area. Aleppo's Internal Security Command said that roads leading to the site of the blasts were closed "to ensure the safety of civilians". Meanwhile, Aleppo governor Azzam al-Gharib urged residents not to leave their homes for the time being, adding that "hospitals, ambulance and emergency teams are on full alert".
