Expired infant food products seized from British Life Sciences Private Limited in Bengaluru

Officials have taken legal action against the company for failing to maintain safety standards.Strict regulatory measures were taken against M/s British Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, following food safety inspections of infant food products.Substantial quantity of misbranded infant food was seized. Considering the serious nature of the violations and the potential risk posed by non-compliant infant food products to infants and young children, appropriate legal proceedings were initiated against the firm.”The officials ordered destruction of around 3.7 metric tonnes of expired infant food articles, as per directions of the court. The expired stock was safely disposed of to prevent its reuse, diversion, or reintroduction into the food chain.British Life Sciences is part of British Biologicals, and specialises in maternal and child nutrition.
