Noah Centineo might be best known for playing the charming romantic lead in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, but his latest role in Street Fighter has him stepping into the world of video game adaptations, martial arts and some formidable fighters. And while preparing for the film, the actor found an unexpected source of support in his Indian co-star, Vidyut Jammwal. In an exclusive interview with India Today, Noah opened up about working with Vidyut, who makes his debut in the Street Fighter film, and described an interaction that left him feeling, quite literally, healed. The experience, he recalled, was as much about Vidyut’s presence as it was about his physical intervention.Noah described his time with Vidyut as incredible, adding, “He was so supportive of me. His words, his belief I don’t know how to explain this. When Vidyut speaks to you and shares his thoughts about you or your life, the words truly are translations for energy. And you can feel the energy behind the words, right? It’s not just vibrations going into your ears. He’s sending you information that gets translated verbally. He’s a powerful human being.” For Noah, however, Vidyut’s support went beyond words. Recalling a moment during a fight sequence involving Ken and Dhalsim, the actor described how a casual admission of soreness turned into an experience he wasn’t quite prepared for.“Beyond that, there was a time when we were doing a fight sequence as Ken and Dhalsim, and I was like, ‘Oh man, I’m a little sore, but I’m good.’ And he was like, ‘Lay down.’ I was like, ‘What?’ He goes, ‘Lie down.’ And I was like, ‘Okay,’ and I lie down. And he stands on my back. I think he is from a family with a history of doctors and healers. He just puts his feet on my face, my neck, and my shoulders, and he’s just going, ‘Boom, boom,’ and I’m like, ‘Ah, ah!’” Noah recalled. He continued, “He spends maybe two minutes working on me, and then I’m like, ‘Oh my God!’ And then he stops. I look up and back, and he has just walked away. He’s gone. And I stand up, and I’m like, ‘Healed!’ It was incredible. I was like, ‘You just walked away?’ And he just looked at me”For Noah, the experience left a lasting impression, with Vidyut’s confidence and approach making him as memorable a co-star off-screen as he is a martial artist on it.When asked if Vidyut managed to convince him to visit India. The answer was a hard yes. Noah said Vidyut had invited him to the country several times, promising to show him around. “He invited me adamantly a few times and said, ‘Come to India. I will show you my country.’ And I was like, ‘I will be there.’”So, when might Indian fans get a chance to welcome the actor in person? Asked when he planned to make the trip, Noah suggested that a visit could happen sooner rather than later, although nothing has been confirmed yet.“This is the right question to ask. Oh man, maybe at the end of this year or the beginning of next. That would be lovely if I could. I’ll talk to Vidyut. Let me talk to Vidyut.”Street Fighter releases on October 16 in India.- Ends
