From August 23, the supermarket will begin selling a trench coat at a fraction of the price of Burberry’s as part of its Middle of Lidl range. Currently, Burberry’s Long Gabardine Lakefield Trench Coat goes for £2,090. But the budget supermarket will be selling its own Esmara Ladies’ Beige Trench Coat for just £17.99, becoming as cheap as £14.99 with Lidl plus. According to the German discounter, the coat comes in an oversized style and is made of a water-repellent outer fabric. It has a wide lapel collar and double-breasted button fastening with an inside button. The coat also comes with side pockets and a detachable tie belt as well as adjustable sleeves with tabs, in addition to a back vent that allows great freedom of movement.
