THE opening date for a brand new Home Bargains superstore in a UK seaside town has been confirmed. The bargain retailer is set to welcome customers later this year after plans for the branch were announced back in June. Home Bargains is set to open its doors to the Cornish cathedral city towards the end of 2026. November 28 has been outlined as the date for the grand opening. The new store will stock home essentials, snacks, furniture, toiletries, cleaning products and more. The branch will also cater to gardening fans, with the brand’s Garden World garden centre concept set to feature in the shop. Sitting within the Treliske Industrial Estate, the Home Bargains store will be situated alongside the likes of Costa and Argos. Another Home Bargains branch is located around two miles away, in Truro’s Threemilestone Retail Park. Most read in Money Other nearby stores are in Bodmin, Saltash, Camborne and Hayle. Reacting to the news, locals took to social media, with some sharing their disappointment over the opening. “B&M would have been better, there’s a Home Bargains 2 minutes up the road,” one commenter wrote. “Why? There’s one up the road? B&M would have been so much better,” another agreed, while a third asked: “How many do we need?” However not everyone was disappointed, with one happy shopper describing the news as “great”.
