Ex-Chelsea and Liverpool star Fernando Torres breaks punch machine record after incredible body transformation

FERNANDO TORRES might have picked the wrong career after a video showed him smashing a punch machine’s record. The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker was at VIP guest at the new Madring circuit in Madrid for the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend. Torres, who is Atletico Madrid B’s coach, appeared in the clip on the club’s social media platforms. He took a first swing at the machine with a fierce right hook as he looked to beat the record of 962. On the first occasion, he only managed to reach 955, but decided to have another go. His second effort was much more aggressive and he stood back and watched the machine reading soar to 970 as it indicated a new record. Torres’ colleagues immediately started screaming after his achievement as they jumped on him and celebrated. He made 244 appearances in his first spell, scoring 91 times, before sealing a move to Liverpool in 2007. Torres was a huge hit with fans at Anfield as he became one of the Premier League’s most deadly hitmen. He netted 33 goals in his first season and scored 81 overall across 142 appearances before joining Chelsea in a £50m deal in 2011. But the Spaniard could not reproduce that same electric form at Stamford Bridge and he only managed 20 Prem goals in 110 league games. Torres later joined AC Milan and boyhood side Atletico Madrid on loan and that latter move eventually became permanent. The last club of Torres’ career was Japanese side Sagan Tosu before he moved into coaching with Atletico’s youth sides in 2021. Comment now
