In Reply We appreciate the letters about our recent article. However, we disagree with Dr Huang’s characterization of the background lipid-lowering therapy in VESALIUS-CV. A total of 84% of patients were taking statin therapy, which is consistent with reported rates of statin intolerance of approximately 17% in observational cohort studies.
