Everything Announced At Gamescom ONL 2026

The middle event in the Geoff Keighley trilogy for 2026 is here. Gamescom, an event that kicks off with Opening Night Live. ONL isn't typically as big or filled with blockbusters as Summer Game Fest or The Game Awards, but there are still often some big announcements made during ONL. Especially when the show effectively kicks off the final few months of the year, which, with a jam-packed September and October, will be busier than they have ever been before. Here, you can catch up on every single reveal and announcement made during Gamescom ONL 2026. Nodus Fall This year's ONL opened with a surprising game no one was expecting. Even after the developer behind it was revealed, viewers likely remained just as confused. Nodus Fall is from HoYoverse, the creators of live service mega hit, Genshin Impact. The extended trailer we were shown is a far cry from anything Genshin or any other miHoYo game has to offer, though. The finer details regarding whether it will function in the same way as Genshin, or a release date, were revealed. Rainbow Six Tactics Rainbow Six is back, but it looks a little different from the Rainbow Six you're used to. That's because the rumors about a tactics game in the series from earlier in the year turned out to be accurate. ONL featured the first look at Rainbow Six Tactics, although we won't have the opportunity to play it ourselves until 2027. Gears Of War: E-Day Campaign Trailer Much like Asha Sharma, Geoff Keighley really wanted us to know Gears of War: E-Day will be an Xbox console exclusive. Still on track to release this October, ONL featured a first look at the highly anticipated prequel's campaign trailer. It opened with a proper introduction to E-Day's big bad, and shared new looks and details about the rest of the core cast and their relationships, including, of course, Marcus Fenix. Ananta Gets A Re-Reveal And A Release Date Three years after its initial reveal at ONL 2023, Ananta is back. A colorful RPG from Netease that looks like it's going to have a lot of moving parts, and a lot of corny jokes that might not land, although I'm a big fan of that cat wearing glasses. There's a big potential audience that has been waiting a long time for this one, and now they know when the game will be here - January 15, 2027. Oh, and was that a Cranberries needle drop? Maybe this game is for me after all. Silent Hill: Townfall Silent Hill: Townfall is only a month away, which means the trailer we were shown during ONL might be the last new look we get at the game before we're playing it. The short new trailer featured the game's protagonist reaching out to others, and hiding from a very big monster who I am already very afraid of. Plague Tale Legacy: Resonance Second great needle drop of the night courtesy of Enjoy the Silence, and it came during a trailer for a game that's even closer to being here than Townfall. Sea Of Remnants The next game, Sea of Remnants, gave me vibes that it's trying to be every game all at once. Sea of Thieves, gambling mechanics, turn based combat, sidescrolling, and more all rolled into one. It all looks great in a trailer. Whether all of that can translate into a game that feels great to play is something else entirely. Crimson Desert Enhanced The literal biggest game of 2026 so far is confirmed to be getting even bigger. Crimson Desert Enhanced, available now and for 20% off, adds new story moments to the game as well as more voiceover options in different languages. A New Look At Tides Of Annihilation Tides of Annihilation recently hit a speed bump when it lost Jennifer English as the voice of its lead character, Gwendolyn. In the latest trailer for the upcoming blockbuster, rumors about English's replacement were confirmed. Angela Sant'Albano, the voice of Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem, is the new voice of Gwendolyn. ONL's trailer gave us our first taste of how she'll sound. Lofsong
