Every One Piece Character In The New Fortnite Trailer

There aren’t many big IPs Fortnite hasn’t managed to team up with yet. One Piece, however, is one of them. That all changes this weekend. One Piece is getting its own Fortnite miniseason, Treasure Hunters, and a first look at the crossover’s trailer has confirmed which of the iconic anime’s characters will be getting skins. Every Character Featured In Fortnite's One Piece Trailer The first sign of One Piece we see in the newly released trailer is the biggest and most obvious of all, as the Straw Pirates’ ship, the Going Merry, floats down from the sky. After that, we’re shown players speeding on boats towards a giant treasure chest, which is when we get our first look at Monkey D. Luffy’s debut Fortnite skin. No sign of any alternate skins for the One Piece hero, but I’m betting there will be a Gear 5 one either up for grabs in the Fortnite store or unlockable via the One Piece battle pass. We naturally get shown a few more shots of Luffy throughout the trailer, including a peek at how his Gum Gum Pistol ability will look in-game. For those unfamiliar with One Piece, Luffy has Gum Gum powers that allow his body to stretch like it's made of rubber. Gum Gum Pistol sees him use that ability to stretch his arm and punch people from a distance. The next time we see Luffy, he’s standing next to his fellow Straw Hat crewmate, Roronoa Zoro, with all three of his swords. What you can’t see until the camera cuts away to a wide shot is who he and Luffy are about to throw down with - Buggy the Clown. One of the most infamous villains in 1,000+ chapters of One Piece. It’s unclear if there will be a Buggy skin in Fortnite, or if the clown will just be an NPC boss for players to pit themselves against. We get an even better look at Zoro and his swords a little later on in the trailer, at which point we also get confirmation that Nami will be getting a Fortnite skin too, as if that was ever in doubt. In that same shot, you can also see Usopp. It’s not entirely clear it’s him, nor have we been given a full look at his Fortnite skin, as his face is being obscured by Zoro’s arm. We do see him again a few seconds later, running towards a chest, but again, his face isn’t shown. Is That Sanji, Or Are We Seeing Things? The only other character we may have been shown is Sanji. If you pause the trailer at around six seconds, you’ll see the back of someone’s head sitting in a chair on the shore. That shocking crop of blonde hair screams Sanji to me, but it’s impossible to confirm until we get a proper look. We also know that Portgas D. Ace will be part of the crossover thanks to some datamined wanted posters, but they weren’t shown in the trailer. While those are all the characters we know will be getting skins, the trailer also revealed how the island will be transformed for its upcoming One Piece season. A top-down view confirmed it will be shaped like a skull and crossbones, and Arlong Park will be what I’m expecting to be one of many POIs pulled out of One Piece and temporarily placed on Fortnite’s island. The new season, along with its Fortnite theme, will be rolled out this Sunday, November 1. That means the video game-themed Override season is about to come to an end. If there are any skins you still haven’t bought or unlocked from this season, now is the time to get that done. You never know when the purchasable ones will be back in the store, and battle pass skins, like the Sonic one, typically disappear forever once a new season begins.
