But, much like time travel and being stranded on a desert island, My Bias, My Boss isn't without its additional hook, taking place in a chic start-up to create a fun workplace romantic comedy. Nam Da-reum (Kim Hye-joon), much like many pop idol stans, was a particular fan of Lee Chan (Cha Woo-min) for 13 years, only to find a shocking opportunity when starting her job at APPELLO, where Chan turns out to be a co-founder. Instead, Eun-seol is treated lovingly by her parents in this new life, only for everything to be upended seemingly overnight, when she is suddenly accused of murder, driven to expose the truth of what happened and clear her name, instead of resigning herself to rock bottom as the real perpetrator intended. The perpetrator, in this case, is a powerful figure with a kindly public veneer, with plenty of skeletons in their closet as Eun-seol begins to unearth them. Eun-seol stands as the one victim of a broader conspiracy who refused to be completely crushed. Let's Get Divorced Where to Stream: TBD Release Date: August 19, 2026 (Weekly) Starring Lee Min-jung of Boys Over Flowers and Once Again fame opposite Kim Ji-seok (When the Camellia Blooms, My Unfamiliar Family) in this divorce drama featuring marital discord, the difficult realities surrounding dreams and business, and when to call it quits. Baek Mi-yeong (Lee Min-jung) and Ji Won-ho (Kim Ji-seok) star as the central couple, with the CEO and co-founder respectively of G&White. Featuring what appears to be a hasty love story progressing quickly from dating to engagement within a matter of months, OK! Let's Get Divorced will explore the gradual unraveling of this married couple amid their struggling business and unfulfilled personal ambition. Mousetrap Where to Stream: Netflix Release Date: August 28, 2026 (Full Series) With Netflix's original and licensed mystery thrillers running from darkly comedic gems like A Killer Paradox to all-time great time travel stories like Signal, Mousetrap will surely feel right at home. Adapting the Kakao webtoon Field Mouse by Ludovico, this series follows a reclusive writer, Je Mun-jae, who's suddenly locked out of his phone as signs begin to surface of identity theft, driving him out of his quiet life to find the "rat" who stole his identity. This, however, sets off a chain of events, chiefly drawing a loan shark and unscrupulous private eye to whom Mun-jae owes money, only for them to join up in search of this perpetrator. With 26 million views just on the Kakao Webtoon platform alone, it's clear the source material has plenty of audiences in South Korea and abroad excited to see just how this thriller plays out. Four Hands, Two Sonatas Where to Stream: Netflix Studio(s): Studio Dragon, Studio N, Namoo Actors Release Date: August 29, 2026 (Weekly) Featuring none other than U-KISS member and recent star of Reborn Rich Lee Jun-young opposite the Son of Netflix, Sweet Home and My Demon's Song Kang, Four Hands, Two Sonatas seems poised to end the August streaming slate with a flourish. The series follows the coming-of-age highs and lows of two highly talented pianists, Kang Bi-o (Song Kang) and Choi Jeong-yo (Lee Jun-young) from backgrounds that nurtured their talents on vastly different levels, alongside a highly talented viola major, Hong Jae-in (Jang Gyu-ri). Bi-o is the overachiever, Jeong-yo had a tough upbringing which pushed his talents aside, while Jae-in's biggest challenge is finding music that truly keeps her motivated and driven. Given the complicated everyday real-world rivalries among youth in the classical music scene, especially those who strive to excel at the highest level in the wildly competitve piano scene, Four Hands, Two Sonatas will surely have no shortage of embittered moments of rivalry, sweet romance, and continuous growth for what's truly an impressive cast.
