Most may think that there have only been three female stars to play the powerful X-Men character, but the full count is actually a bit longer. 5 Famke Janssen When Fox decided to bring the X-Men to the big screen as a live-action franchise, there was never any doubt that Jean would be included. She's featured in X-Men as a core member of the team who is still learning about the full strength of her powers and dating Cyclops, even as Wolverine pursues her. Jean returned in X2 with greater control over her abilities and seemingly died at the end after tapping into the Phoenix Force to save the team. Her story continued, though, in X-Men: The Last Stand.
