The cast of superheroes teaming up for Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be massive, but not all of them can contribute the same amount of power to the fight against Doctor Doom. Though Marvel has been very secretive about the cast of Doomsday, there are currently 29 heroes officially confirmed to appear in the film. These heroes range from original Avengers like Thor and Steve Rogers to very new additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, like The Fantastic Four and the X-Men. While there is a very good chance that Marvel has hidden the involvement of some heroes, like Deadpool, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man, they haven't been officially confirmed yet. As such, this list will only deal with heroes who have been outright announced or who can be seen in one of the trailers for Avengers: Doomsday. Additionally, notable characters who won't act as superheroes yet are confirmed for the movie, like Peggy Carter, won't be included. The power levels of the MCU's heroes are also being judged specifically for Doomsday. That means heroes who are better suited to fighting Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom specifically will be preferred over those who will be at a disadvantage against him. Likewise, heroes that can easily be countered by Doom and his famously genius level of preparation will be at a disadvantage compared to more versatile heroes in Avengers: Doomsday. 29 M'Baku The least powerful hero in the cast of Avengers: Doomsday so far is M'Baku, the current king of Wakanda. While he will be able to rouse Wakanda's considerable resources and fighting forces, M'Baku himself doesn't have much power. He's a great fighter, but since he never ate the heart-shaped herb that grants Black Panther their powers, he's essentially just a normal, albeit talented, human. His equipment also doesn't compensate much, as M'Baku generally uses traditional melee weapons. 28 Falcon The new Falcon as of Captain America: Brave New World, Joaquin Torres, is one of the least powerful heroes in Doomsday. Falcon is likely a worse fighter than M'Baku, but his wings give him a bigger edge. Torres can fly, move at incredible speeds, use his goggles to see across vast distances, and he has impeccable reflexes and reaction times. He also packs several modern weapons, including guns and rockets, that make him almost on the same level as a character like War Machine. 27 Yelena Belova Among the unpowered human characters in the MCU, Yelena Belova is one of the strongest. She's arguably the strongest fighter of the bunch thanks to her training as a master assassin and combatant in the Red Room. She's also incredibly skilled with several high-tech weapons, including her electrified gauntlets and batons, almost any gun she can find, and more. Plus, thanks to her new role on the New Avengers, she'll likely have even better equipment for Doomsday. 26 Captain America The strongest hero without powers in the MCU to date is Sam Wilson, the new Captain America. Though he took on Steve Rogers' title, Sam didn't get the super soldier serum that gave Steve his powers, and is thus a regular human. However, Sam is also a seasoned veteran of the military and several high-level fights against Thanos, Red Hulk, and the other Avengers. Additionally, he still has his Falcon wings which, combined with Captain America's vibranium shield, make him a big threat on his own. 25 Mystique Marvel Though her mutant power does have a wide variety of uses, Mystique's shapeshifting ability likely won't be hugely important in the fight against Doctor Doom. As seen in the trailer for Doomsday, Mystique can take on the appearance of anyone she chooses, like Yelena, and copy their fighting style. She also has enhanced strength and a modest healing factor, all of which make her good but not great in a fight. Mystique's powers are more suited to deception than fighting, so she ranks rather low on the power scale. 24 Red Guardian Of the surprising number of MCU characters who have taken a super soldier serum, Red Guardian is the weakest of the bunch. Red Guardian, having received the Soviet Union's version of the serum, has all the same powers: super strength, durability, endurance, and agility, albeit on the lower end of the spectrum. However, since he's well past his prime both in age and in terms of taking care of himself, Alexei rounds out the bottom of the super soldiers. 23 Ghost Custom image by Yeider Chacon As with several other members of the New Avengers, Ghost ranks near the bottom of Doomsday's cast in terms of power. She has most of the combat ability of trained fighters like Yelena, as well as superhuman strength and acrobatic ability. Her main feature is her ability to phase through objects and become intangible and invisible. That power should give her an edge in a fight, but a villain like Doctor Doom will also be able to figure her trick out rather quickly. 22 Cassie Lang Ant-Man and his allies, including his daughter, Cassie, have some of the most impressive technology in the MCU. Like her father, Cassie can shrink and grow to virtually any size at will, and she gains superhuman strength proportional to that size. She also has a genius-level intellect, but she's ranked lower than her father due to her inexperience as a superhero, something she'll desperately need in Doomsday. 21 U.S. Agent Another super soldier, John Walker aka U.S. Agent is fairly firmly in the middle of the pack. He's had some really impressive uses of his skills in both The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Thunderbolts*, such as jumping hundreds of meters and killing people with his bare hands, and he also has a wealth of experience as a military veteran. Walker is emotionally unstable, however, and with a worse version of Captain America's shield, he's a less imposing threat. Avengers: Doomsday will premiere in theaters on December 18, 2026. 20 Bucky Barnes One of the strongest super soldiers in the MCU, Bucky Barnes has everything characters like John Walker and Red Guardian have to offer, but he also has his vibranium arm. Bucky's arm allows him to stop bullets, provides even more strength than other super soldiers, and is virtually indestructible. He's also by far the most experienced member of the New Avengers thanks to his years as the Winter Soldier, which means he can use his powers more effectively.
