THE BIGGEST used motorbike dealer in Europe has collapsed into administration, after facing significant financial pressures. At its peak, the dealer sold more than 15,000 bikes a year. The company, with six retail locations and an online store, warned that trading was at “risk” as a result of the cost of living crisis and weak consumer confidence. A statement on the SuperBike Factory website said: “On 20 July 2026, Michael Lennon, James Saunders and Robert Halliday of KR8 Advisory Ltd were appointed as Joint Administrators of Superbike Factory Group Limited and Superbike Factory Limited (“the Companies”) pursuant to the provisions of the Insolvency Act 1986. “The affairs, business and property of the Companies are being managed by the Joint Administrators, who act as agents of the Companies and without personal liability.” At the time of its collapse, the company employed around 200 staff members, although the number of jobs at risk remains unknown. SuperBike Factory was founded in 2010 by entrepreneurs Scott Behrens and James Watson, and in 2014 the business launched SuperBike Loans. It operated by buying a large number of motorbikes through channels including WeBuyAnyBike.com, and reselling them on their online site and retail showrooms. The group was later bought by private equity investor Endless’s SME fund Enact in December 2023. Most read in Motors Their Macclesfield dealership – one of the largest indoor motorbike showrooms in Europe – displayed more than 700 bikes at its height.
