If an EPFO pension has stopped coming into your bank account, one possible reason could be that the Digital Life Certificate (DLC), also known as Jeevan Pramaan, has not been submitted. The good news is that pensioners no longer need to visit an office to complete the process. It's now easier than ever! Simply schedule a doorstep Jeevan Pramaan with a phone call and complete process from comfort of your home."In a video shared by the organisation, Alok Yadav, Regional PF Commissioner at EPFO, explained that every EPFO pensioner must submit a Digital Life Certificate every year to continue receiving pension without interruption.The certificate acts as proof that the pensioner is alive. Once submitted, it remains valid for one year from the date of submission. HOW TO CHECK WHETHER YOUR DLC IS STILL VALIDPensioners can check the validity of their Digital Life Certificate by visiting the Pensioner Portal on the EPFO website. This helps them know when the next certificate needs to be submitted.HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR DIGITAL LIFE CERTIFICATE FROM HOMEEPFO has explained that pensioners can complete the process using a smartphone. First, download the UMANG app and the Aadhaar Face RD app.Open the UMANG app and go to the Jeevan Pramaan Certificate section. Select Generate Life Certificate and choose the Face Authentication option.Enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number, then verify the OTP received on your phone.Next, fill in your PPO number, sanctioning authority, bank name and account number. Select the correct options for Re-employed and Remarried, tick the checkbox and allow permission for the Aadhaar Face RD app to access your camera.Scan your face and the Digital Life Certificate will be submitted successfully.FREE DOORSTEP SERVICE ALSO AVAILABLEFor pensioners who are unable to complete the process themselves, EPFO has also introduced a free doorstep service in partnership with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB).To use the service, pensioners only need to call the toll-free number 0000 202 9000.
