Envoy launches Response to provide threat intelligence and incident management for businesses

Envoy launches Response to provide threat intelligence and incident management for businesses Envoy Inc. today announced the launch of Response, a solution that brings intelligence records to the physical presence of people at work to detect potential threats, manage incidents, communicate during crises and prepare for audits. Founded in 2013 by founder and Chief Executive Larry Gadea, a former Google LLC and Twitter (now X Corp.) engineer, Envoy provides a unified workplace management platform that manages visitor check-ins, bookings, deliveries and workplace safety notifications while giving companies real-time occupancy and compliance data in one system. As organizations scale hybrid work and shared spaces, “simple booking desks” stop being enough for tracking and attending to visitors; they need systems that can prove who is and was on site, where they are and under what authorization. Across regulated industries and high-security environments, that shift is driven less by convenience than by compliance, incident response and the need for auditable, real-time visibility of people. Response upgrades Envoy’s capability with artificial intelligence that can read, correlate, and prioritize threat signals as they emerge, so security teams can react quickly to relevant risks and avoid false positives, instead of manually monitoring too much and missing things. The company said the system can use signals including weather services, crime feeds, transit systems, government advisories and internal tools to decide what is a priority and what can most likely remain on the shelf. All of this shows up in a global threat dashboard with visibility for every location worldwide, with critical information curated to be relevant to the security team. “Physical security is an industry that’s been really manual for a really long time. That means high false positives, and just not a great experience,” said Gadea. “Because detection is so manual, it’s slow, and it’s only ever reached a few workplaces or the most senior VIP executives.” Gadea added that Envoy is designed to address safety and security for everyone within the enterprise domain at scale, from employees in the office, remote workers, people traveling and beyond. “Everyone should be a VIP,” Gadea said. “Nobody gets left behind.” A recent 2026 Envoy survey of 1,000 employees in the United States revealed that 74% said they’ve avoided going to work due to hazardous conditions of some kind and 56% said they’ve felt unsafe at work. Over half, at 53%, had to commute and felt unsafe getting to or from the job, with around 75% saying they experienced events that affected their ability to do the job – this included 27% who had to be sent home or told to work remotely as a safety precaution. Response works to close the gap between security systems and onboarding because Envoy already knows who is in the building, visitors and contractors included, not just employees. The point is that delivery people, temporary visitors and others can be invisible to ordinary systems – the power of the clipboard or a box in the hands of a person walking into a workspace. Envoy makes them visible by connecting them to presence signals about who is on site, which spaces are occupied, and who is remote or traveling, so security knows who is potentially at risk and needs attention. The threat dashboard provides a space for security to move quickly once a threat is detected. Security leaders can act quickly with multi-channel alerts, know who is on site, where workers are, where contractors and visitors are, enable safety responses, handle two-way chats and mustering. This is all powered by real-time data that keeps occupancy monitoring for everyone in shared spaces and outside with a tamper-proof record designed to provide visibility.
