England legend Steven Gerrard, 46, handed biggest TV role yet ahead of new Premier League season

Gerrard will be a “regular presence throughout the campaign”, giving his takes on the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup matches aired by the broadcaster. But he won’t just be sitting in the studio; he’ll also, on occasion, join Darren Fletcher, Sam Matterface, Mike Minay and Adam Summerton in the commentary booth. Gerrard’s increased presence will further bolster TNT’s already all-star punditry team Joe Cole, Ally McCoist , Karen Carney, Owen Hargreaves, Joleon Lescott, Fara Williams, Steve McManaman, Lucy Ward, Glenn Hoddle, Jen Beattie, Martin Keown, Anita Asante, Joel Ward and Robbie Savage will all be back on our screens for the broadcast’s prolonged footie extravaganza next season.
