England gymnast Gabriel Langton suffers sickening injury after high bar fall as Commonwealth Games event suspended

GYMNAST Gabriel Langton suffered a horrible injury that brought the Commonwealth Games event to a halt. Langton, who replaced the decorated Max Whitlock at the games, fell from the bars with his head facing directly to the ground. Medical professionals immediately rushed to his aid and put him in a stable position. The event was delayed while he recieved treatment and Langton was placed onto a stretcher. Worry spread fast as Langto failed to move initially, but there are reports from those inside the arena that he was seen moving his legs before he was stretchered off. The commentator then said: “Gabriel Langton has been removed from the FOP under assistance of medical staff.” The audience applauded as he left. Athletes were given the chance to warmup again because of the long delay as the action resumed.
