That’s one way Eney, the AI assistant from MacPaw, stands out. MacPaw is the company behind CleanMyMac and Setapp, two popular tools among Apple users. And Eney is its Apple-native take on an AI assistant. Eney is a proactive assistant on both Mac and iPhone that takes tedious busywork off users’ plates. It can help out with summarizing documents, drafting emails, organizing files, planning your day, and a lot more. A few standout features include: Eney Wand: Lets you select anything onscreen then ask about it, translate, or mark it up Eney Spell: Catches any spelling or grammar mistakes across apps Meeting Notes: Transcribes calls and writes the notes for you Workflows: Ready-made tools for getting things done, with more added regularly Connectors are another big tentpole feature. They enable Eney to integrate directly with services like Apple Mail, Apple Calendar, and Reminders, as well as Google Drive, Docs, and Calendar. Privacy is always a key issue with any AI tool, and MacPaw has built several privacy-sensitive protections into Eney. The assistant can only access your apps and files with your explicit permission, and Eney’s memory is stored locally on your Mac in encrypted form. Additionally, none of your Eney requests will ever be used to train provider models. You can try Eney for free here, with MacPaw providing 10,000 AI credits for 14 days.
