End of an era as Coronation Street resident declares it’s ‘the end’

Last week, after making it clear that he was interested in buying Underworld, Idris Nazir (Junade Khan) attempted to sabotage a meeting that Carla and Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) were having. Idris told businessman Philip that Carla’s not to be trusted. As a result of the meddling, Philip backed out of the deal, leaving Underworld hanging by a thread. As she told Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) about the factory’s money troubles, she failed to spot Idris listening into the conversation. Sensing that his plan was about to become a success, Idris told Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) to sneak into the factory and set off the sprinkler system. Moments later, Carla and Lisa rushed across the road to find water pouring from the factory doors.
