Emmy Winners: Complete List (Updating Live) Variety “Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay is hosting the TV industry’s biggest night as the Emmy Awards are underway Monday evening. HBO’s medical drama “The Pitt” leads all nominees with a huge 25 nominations, including outstanding drama, lead actor and drama director for Noah Wyle and seven performers across supporting actor and actress. The series, which won best drama last year, almost doubled its haul of 13 nods last year. Following closely behind is HBO’s comedy “Hacks,” which earned 24 nominations for its final season. It broke the all-time comedy nomination record previously held by “The Bear” and “The Studio” with 23 each. Lead actress Jean Smart could win her fifth Emmy for the show and her eighth overall, which would tie her for the most Emmy wins by an actress in history. Hannah Einbinder, Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs also received supporting actor and actress nominations. Apple TV’s new horror comedy “Widow’s Bay” had a strong debut with 19 nominations, including outstanding comedy, Matthew Rhys for lead actor and Stephen Root, Dale Dickey and Kate O’Flynn in the supporting races. Apple’s fellow new show “Pluribus” also came out strong with 18 nods for best drama, lead actress for Rhea Seehorn and Carlos Manuel Vesga and Karolina Wydra in supporting. In the limited series and anthology category, Netflix’s “Beef” led with 16 nominations, and Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan are both up for lead actor and actress.
